Hi @'UUGear',
Hope you're doing well!

We are currently encountering an issue with the combination of the Zero4U and MEGA4 USB hubs.

The Zero4U hub is powered using an external 5V SMPS. Its USB host Mini-B port is connected to the MEGA4 USB hub using a Type-A to Type-A cable. Additionally, on the MEGA4, the P1 connector’s 5V and Ground lines are directly connected to the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO pins (5V: Pins 2 & 4; Ground: Pins 6 & 14).

The issue is that whenever the Zero4U hub is powered ON, the Raspberry Pi also turns ON automatically, even though the Pi is not connected to its standard power input.
Could you please help us identify the cause of this behavior and suggest a solution at the earliest?

Best regards,

Sakthinathan. S

Its USB host Mini-B port is connected to the MEGA4 USB hub using a Type-A to Type-A cable.

Do you mean using a Type-Mini-B to Type-A cable? Zero4U's upstream port is Mini-B, while MEGA4's downstream port is Type-A.

It is hard to understand the wiring with the description, please consider showing a picture, or a wiring diagram.
