Hi All,
Apologize if that concern has been resolved already, if that's the case, please point me to proper forum topics.
I would like to use Witty Pi schedule, where RPi wakes up each day after midnight, forever (so no constraint like maximum year 2038 etc). I understand that RTC controller has limitation to year 2099, but that would be ok.
What would be most witty-way to achieve it?
This is a typical scenario to use schedule script.
Please read page 16-21 in the user manual, if you have not done so yet.
The example below wake your Pi up at 1:30 AM everyday for 15 minutes.
BEGIN 2026-01-14 01:30:00 END 2037-07-31 23:59:59 ON M15 OFF H23 M45
You may use this web application to create schedule script and run simulation.

Hi @admin, thanks for your prompt response. As I mentioned I would like to run script like this one:
BEGIN 2026-01-01 00:15:00 END 2099-12-31 00:15:00 ON S0 WAIT OFF S0
but I found some information that Witty firmware will either reject year 2099 or will fail silently after 2038?
So how to make sure the schedule runs fine till 2099?
After consulting different AI models it looks like the end date 2099 should not be a problem.
Can someone please verify if that script for Witty Pi 4 would work as expected?
BEGIN 2026-01-01 02:00:00 END 2099-12-31 23:59:59 ON H24 WAIT
The goal is to boot RPi at 2am every day, the os-level script executed after the boot will do its job, and will shutdown RPi programmatically by itself.
