Does the wittyPi 4 mini have a safe shutdown feature? For eg. when the power supply drops below 5v, does it automatically shutdown ?
Witty Pi 4 Mini doesn't have such feature built-in: although it monitors the voltage on VIN pin, it requires 5V on USB-C to work. If you connect a DC/DC converter between VIN and 5V, and use VIN as power supply, then it can work.
Witty Pi 4 (full sized) and Witty Pi 4 L3V7 have such feature built-in.
thanks for the response, another follow up question, If i do have a dc/dc and input on Vin along with a USB-C input, what takes precedence the Vin or the USB-C?
@pranavb104 The output of DC/DC directly connects to the 5V rails from USB-C: the DC/DC and USB-C should not be used at the same time as power sources, you should only use one of them. Otherwise, they would fight with each other when their voltage have any difference, that is a scenario which shoudl be avoid all the time.
