Yes, I did it - I connected 12V to the 5V input of the P2 header of my beloved WittyPi4. It seems that at least the component marked U2 was blown and the board is dead after connecting USB-C. My question is if I can salvage this WittyPi:

- U2 component markings are 533??something. What is this component, so I could try to replace it?

- is it possible that other components were damaged? I guess the answer is yes, but if I replace the U2 and the board is still dead, is there any point to try to save the board? I truly hope the main microcontroler was not damaged.

Thanks!

U2 is an SE8533 LDO that outputs 3.3V.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that RTC, MCU and temperature sensor are being powered by this LDO, there is no garentee that they will survive when U2 is blown.
