Starting today, all Vivid Unit devices sold by UUGear will come pre-installed with Vivid Unit OS, our Debian 12 “Bookworm”-based desktop operating system built specifically for Vivid Unit.

This is an important step forward for Vivid Unit. The new system image provides a more modern Debian base, a cleaner desktop experience, and a clearer path for future updates and improvements.

GPU acceleration is now enabled out of the box. Users no longer need to run manual enable scripts after the first boot. - Updated VGP
The new major version of VGP brings significant performance improvements. - Updated VSA
The new major version of VSA adds gesture support, making Vivid Unit easier to operate directly from the touchscreen. - Updated VUE

If you have Vivid Unit that has older system installed, you may download the Vivid Unit OS image here, and follow this instructions for installation (remarks: all data on eMMC will be lost!)
