[Solved / Archived] Witty Pi 4 mini - only completes one schedule

I’m using witty pi 4 mini with rpi zero, i set a schedule that is supposed to turn it on for 2 minutes and off for 2 minutes.

It turns off on schedule and then back on at the right time, but then it stops working. When i run wittyPi.sh i either get „Witty Pi board is not connected” or few times it returned corrupted rtc time.

The „Witty Pi board is not connected” message ususally suggests unreliable GPIO connection. Please check the conection of SDA and SCL pins.

If your RPI zero doesn't come with 40-pin header pre-soldered, you may want to check the soldering of pin header too.

The „not connected” issue went away, now after being turned on it shuts down at the right time but when it tries to turn on, the red led only flashes for a brief second and rpi does not turn on.

I should add, that it requires few tries to turn on the board using button.

I solved the issue using capacitor method described in this topic:
