Are there any plans to implement a watchdog functionality into the witty pi or are there any hardware limitations that would make this impossible?

At the time being we do not have a plan to add watchdog functionality into Witty Pi. This is mainly because the current firmware has almost used up the 8k space in ATtiny841 and it is bascially impossible to add more features into the firmware.
Adding watchdog will need a better MCU with bigger program space, or delete some features from the current firmware.
